AutoHaloA phone key for your car, with routines

Walk up. It's ready.

AutoHalo turns your phone into a Bluetooth key for your car, then gives that key routines. Unlock as you walk up, lock as you walk away, start the climate at 7:40 on weekdays, or flash the lights when you can't find the car in a parking garage.

Everything travels directly between your phone and the car. There is no account to create and no server in the middle, so it keeps working underground with no signal. A control only shows as done once the car confirms it, and the picture of your car shows what the car itself reports.

Free covers one car with lock, unlock, honk and flash. AutoHalo Pro, bought once, adds more cars, the other controls, every automation, home screen widgets and Shortcuts.

What it does

  • Your phone is the key

    Enter the last six characters of the car's VIN, tap your key card on the console when the car asks, and your phone is paired. AutoHalo works out the model and year from the number and draws your car in its own colour.

  • One-tap controls

    Lock and unlock, honk, flash the lights, open the frunk and trunk, the charge port, climate, windows, single doors and keyless start.

  • Routines

    Walk up, walk away, a time on chosen days, or a tap from a widget, Siri or Shortcuts. Add conditions on saved places, your phone's battery or whether the car is locked, and steps that wait, notify you or run another routine.

  • Stands down when you're inside

    If the car reports someone inside, walk-up and walk-away routines do nothing, so the car doesn't unlock while you sit in the driver's seat.

  • No account, no cloud

    Phone and car talk directly over Bluetooth. Nothing goes through a server, so it works with no signal.

  • Easy on both batteries

    On iPhone it doesn't keep scanning, and it leaves the car alone so the car can sleep. Settings › Diagnostics shows an hourly count of what the app did.

What this app is, and is not

  • AutoHalo is an independent app. It is not made, endorsed or supported by the maker of your car.
  • Keep your car's own key with you. Routines that run in the background depend on your phone's operating system, and AutoHalo cannot promise a routine will run when the system has stopped the app.
