Delete your data

AutoHalo

AutoHalo keeps everything on your device, so you can delete all of it yourself, at any time, without asking us.

Email a deletion request

Short answer

AutoHalo has no account and stores nothing on our servers, because there are no servers. Deleting the app deletes everything it held.

Delete your data inside the app

AutoHalo can erase everything it holds without you uninstalling it:

  • Remove each car in Settings › Cars. This deletes that car's phone key from the phone straight away. Do this before deleting the app: iOS can keep an app's Keychain items after the app itself is deleted.
  • Delete the app. This removes your cars, routines, history, places, preferences and the diagnostic log. On Android: Settings › Apps › AutoHalo › Uninstall, which removes its Keystore keys with it.
  • Remove the phone from the car's own key list, on the car's screen. AutoHalo cannot do this for you; it explains how when you remove a car.
  • If your iPhone or iPad is backed up to iCloud, the diagnostic log and usage counts may remain in that backup until it is replaced or you delete it in Settings › your name › iCloud.
  • We hold no copy of anything, so there is nothing for us to delete.

Delete everything

Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device:

  • iPhone or iPad — touch and hold the app icon, choose Remove App, then Delete App.
  • Android — touch and hold the app icon and drag it to Uninstall, or use Settings, then Apps, then Uninstall.
  • Your own device backups may still contain a copy until those backups are replaced or deleted. Those backups belong to you, and we have no access to them.

What we hold

We hold no account for you and no copy of your AutoHalo data. The only personal information we would ever hold is an email you chose to send us for support.

Delete a support email

If you have written to support and want that correspondence deleted, email support@clicksparksoftware.com with the subject "Delete my data". We will delete the thread and confirm, normally within 30 days.
