SoftCue

Last updated October 2, 2026

Summary

SoftCue stores your cues, history and settings only on your iPhone and Apple Watch. It makes no network connections of its own, and it has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDKs.

What this app stores

SoftCue stores the following, on your device:

  • Your cues — name, interval, haptic pattern, schedule, snooze and repeat options
  • History of delivered cues — which cue, when it tapped, and whether you marked it done, snoozed or skipped it
  • Your settings, and the state of the cue currently running

Who else receives data

The following third parties receive data from this app, for the purposes described:

  • Apple handles the SoftCue Pro purchase through the App Store. It receives your purchase request, never your cues, history or settings, and sends us only aggregate sales counts by country that do not identify you.

Sync between iPhone and Apple Watch

Your cues, settings, history and Pro status sync directly between your iPhone and its paired Apple Watch, using Apple's Watch Connectivity. Nothing leaves your two devices. SoftCue does not use iCloud sync.

Backups

SoftCue's data is included in your iCloud Backup or encrypted device backup, if you use one. That backup is between you and Apple; we have no access to it.

Permissions

SoftCue asks for a system permission only at the point it needs one. You can decline any of them, and the rest of the app keeps working:

  • Notifications (Apple Watch) — this is how watchOS taps your wrist when SoftCue is not on screen. It is requested the first time you start a cue. If you decline, cues still tap while SoftCue is open on the Watch, but not in the background.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

SoftCue contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK and no tracking of any kind. It does not use the Advertising Identifier, and it does not ask for permission to track you across other apps or websites.

Children

SoftCue is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Deleting your data

How to remove what SoftCue holds:

  • Delete everything: open SoftCue on iPhone, go to Settings → Data → Delete all data, and confirm. This removes your cues, history and settings, and clears the Watch's cues the next time it syncs.
  • Clear only your history: Settings → Data → Clear history.
  • To remove the Watch copy straight away, delete SoftCue from the Watch. Deleting the iPhone app removes everything it stored on the phone.
  • Your SoftCue Pro purchase stays with your Apple Account and can be restored.
  • We hold no copy of anything, so there is nothing for us to delete and nothing for us to recover.
