Frequently asked
Why does NetRunbook want my location?
Only to show the Wi-Fi network name. iOS and Android hide it from apps without location permission. NetRunbook never records or sends your location, and every tool works without it.
Why can't it find devices on my network?
On iPhone and iPad, allow Local Network access (Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network → NetRunbook). Some devices ignore ping and have no open ports on the ones probed, and guest or isolated Wi-Fi networks block devices from seeing each other.
Why do some tools say they are unavailable on my phone?
Mobile operating systems restrict some low-level networking. Where a platform does not allow a tool to work reliably, NetRunbook disables it and explains why rather than showing results it cannot trust.
What is free, and what do Pro and Automation add?
Free covers the core network tools, Diagnostic Sessions you run by hand, Investigate Host, three Network Snapshots, and the Device Unreachable and Internet Troubleshooting Runbooks. NetRunbook Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks the Pro tools, Snapshot Compare, unlimited history and PDF, CSV and JSON export; it does not include Runbook automation. NetRunbook Automation is an optional monthly subscription that includes everything in Pro plus every Runbook, the Runbook Builder, Decisions and For Each. If the subscription ends, your Runbooks, sessions and reports stay viewable.
How do I restore my Pro purchase?
Open Settings and tap Restore purchase, signed in to the same Apple Account or Google account that bought it. The same restores an active NetRunbook Automation subscription.
