AssetProof

Last updated September 15, 2026

Summary

AssetProof keeps your inventory on your device. There is no account and no ClickSpark server — and if you turn on iCloud backup, a copy also goes to your own iCloud account.

What this app stores

AssetProof stores the following, on your device:

  • Item records, photos and documents you add, stored locally on the device

Who else receives data

The following third parties receive data from this app, for the purposes described:

  • Apple — only if you turn on iCloud backup. Your inventory is copied to your own iCloud account, under your Apple Account and Apple's privacy terms. It goes to you, not to us: there is still no ClickSpark server, and we cannot read what is stored there. With backup off, nothing leaves the device.

Cloud backup

AssetProof supports backing your inventory up to iCloud. Where that is turned on, your item records, photos and documents are copied to your own iCloud account, where Apple holds them under your Apple Account and Apple's own privacy terms.

That copy goes to you, not to us. There is no ClickSpark server and no shared storage: we cannot see your inventory in iCloud any more than we can see it on your device. What changes is that your data is no longer only on the handset — so if you would rather it stayed there, leave backup off, and nothing is sent anywhere.

Permissions

AssetProof asks for a system permission only at the point it needs one. You can decline any of them, and the rest of the app keeps working:

  • Camera — to photograph an item, its serial plate or a receipt.
  • Photo library — to attach a photo you have already taken.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

AssetProof contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK and no tracking of any kind. It does not use the Advertising Identifier, and it does not ask for permission to track you across other apps or websites.

Children

AssetProof is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Deleting your data

How to remove what AssetProof holds:

  • Delete an item in the app and it is removed from the inventory on that device immediately.
  • Deleting the app removes everything it stored on the device.
  • If you turned on iCloud backup, deleting the app does not remove the copy in iCloud. Remove that in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage, where AssetProof's data is listed alongside your other apps.
  • We hold no copy of your inventory at any point, so there is nothing for us to delete and nothing for us to recover.
