Summary
We collect nothing. Ring Breathe has no account, no analytics and no advertising. What it stores stays on your devices and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account — never with us.
What this app stores
Ring Breathe stores the following, on your device:
- Your favourites, custom exercises, presets and settings
- Your session history — which exercise, when and for how long
Who else receives data
No third parties receive data from Ring Breathe. It does not include analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and it does not send your content anywhere.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud, Ring Breathe keeps your favourites, custom exercises, presets and session history in step across your iPhone, iPad and Mac using Apple's iCloud key-value storage. That copy lives in your own iCloud account under Apple's terms; we cannot see it. If you are not signed in, everything stays on the device.
Apple Health (Apple Watch)
With your permission, the watch app reads your heart rate during a session so you can see yourself settle, and saves completed sessions to the Health app as mindfulness minutes. Health data stays in Apple Health on your devices; Ring Breathe does not send it anywhere, and you can change either permission at any time in the Health app.
Permissions
Ring Breathe asks for a system permission only at the point it needs one. You can decline any of them, and the rest of the app keeps working:
- Health — heart rate (read) and mindfulness minutes (write), on Apple Watch — to show your heart rate during a session and to log completed sessions in the Health app. Breathing works without it.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
Ring Breathe contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK and no tracking of any kind. It does not use the Advertising Identifier, and it does not ask for permission to track you across other apps or websites.
Children
Ring Breathe is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Deleting your data
How to remove what Ring Breathe holds:
- Clear your session history in Settings → Clear History.
- Remove a favourite, custom exercise or preset in the app and it is removed on the device and from your iCloud copy, so your other devices drop it too.
- Deleting the app removes everything stored on that device. It does not by itself clear the iCloud copy, so if you use iCloud, clear your history and remove your exercises and presets in the app first.
- Heart-rate readings and mindfulness minutes live in Apple Health, not in Ring Breathe. Manage or delete them in the Health app.
- We hold no copy of anything, so there is nothing for us to delete and nothing for us to recover.
